Flowing blonde hair and a Stretch Armstrong physique is the best way to characterize Jamie McCarthy (legally: Philip J. McCarthy IV), our current POW – Pick of the Week. From just around the corner in Wyndmoor, PA (population: 5,601) – Jamie is a laid back, small town boy. A M&Ter and also a member of the illustrious Mask & Wig crew, he is known for his constant smile – a perfect façade for his friendly and fun loving demeanor. Tagged in 175 photos (of which 167 are tagged by others) and consistently keeping the campus updated through Facebook, Jamie is a popular fellow around campus. His current status? “Jamie is getting ready for the Mask & Wig show – Troy Story.” Since he is always on the move, he stays energized with his daily filling of mac and cheese out of a red Solo cup. His fellow cast mate Ruben Henriquez writes of Jamie, “If you are one of the people lucky enough to really get to know this wonder, you will realize that he is a genius of common sense, an immensely talented violin and trombone player, one hell of a dancer, and a man with an affinity for redheaded Arts House Dance Company Seniors.”
